Amazon Prime Day 2019 will be here before we know it. Will you be ready? You will if you stay close to this post.
For starters, as we first reported a few weeks back, Amazon Prime Day will likely start on Monday, July 15 — at least according to a leaked PR email. But given that this “shopping holiday” has grown into a veritable summertime Black Friday-like season, Amazon has already cut prices on lots of devices, including Echo speakers, Fire tablets and Kindle e-readers.
For example, the full-size Echo hit an all-time low of $65 last week, though its price is now at $80.

It’ll probably be another week or two until Amazon officially announces the dates for Prime Day 2019. (Last year, it was announced on July 2.) But rest assured, the event will again offer sitewide discounts on par with Black Friday. Based on the past few years, here’s what we can expect:
Prime Day 2019 will almost certainly happen in mid-July.
It’ll probably span more than one day. In 2017, Prime Day started late on a Monday and ended early on Wednesday. Last year, it lasted 36 hours, starting on Monday, July 16.
The biggest discounts are likely to apply to Amazon’s own products and brands, including the full range of Echo speakers, Fire tablets and Fire TV streamers, Kindle readers, Blink cameras and so on. But other sellers will certainly take advantage of the event to offer sale prices as well.
Obviously we’ll keep you posted once we get more news about dates, deals and everything else. In the meantime, here’s everything we know.
What kind of deals should I expect?
Good ones — especially on the aforementioned Amazon gear, which will almost certainly match or even beat Black Friday pricing — to say nothing of Prime Day 2018 pricing. In fact, some devices are already on sale, including the Echo Dot for just $30.
